Student Leadership Elects Officers

Student Leadership has chosen officers for next year. Those running were required to make a statement to the group regarding their desire for the office and qualifications. The 2017-18 Student Leadership Officers are:

Congratulations to these outstanding students! Students interested in applying to be part of next year’s Leadership team must pick up an application form from either Mrs. Kelley or Mr. Mullin. The application deadline is May 12.

Band Concert

Our end-of-the year band concert will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose room. This concert will feature bands from Grades 5-9. Please come and support the band students.

Choir Concert

The end-of-year choir concert will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Please come and enjoy a wonderful concert presented by our students.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal

Due to the grading process in Infinite Campus, parents and students will not be able to access the Parent and Student Portal beginning Thursday, May 18 and running until report cards are completed, approximately the 2nd week in June.

Student Dress Code

With the school year rapidly coming to a close, and the weather warming up, we are noticing that our students are beginning to become less and less observant of our dress code. Parents, please be reminded that students must adhere to the dress code as it is stated in our Parent Handbook. Several items we are noticing are brightly colored shoes, boys’ wearing earrings (they must be covered), inappropriate hairstyles. Also, students must remain in their uniforms as long as they are on cam-pus. Students are not allowed to change into non-uniform attire if they are going to remain on campus after-school. We appreciate your help in enforcing the dress code. Thank you.

Dennis Uniform Sale

Dennis Uniforms is having a 50% off sale of all of their remaining Founders Academy shirts with the old logo. This logo will still be allowed to be worn for next year, so if you are looking for new uniform shirts this is a great sale.

Upper-School Awards Presentations

We will hold our upper-school (grades 7-12) Awards Presentations on Tuesday, May 16 at 1 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. If your child is receiving an award you will receive an invitation to this presentation.

Elementary Awards presentations will be conducted in the elementary classrooms. Teachers will be notifying parents.

PTO News

We will hold our last General PTO meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday, May 16 at 7:30 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room.

Summer Cone Game Camp

There will be a Conegame Open House on May 10 from 3-6 p.m. in the gym. What is Conegame camp all about? Please come at your own leisure and meet the camp director, Coach J (Johnson) and his staff and they can answer any questions or concerns you may have. There will be complimentary popcorn, snacks, and beverages. Hope to see you there!
